# thumbs > thumbs gives AI agents a real iPhone they can see, tap and type on, through one remote MCP server URL with Google sign-in. Nothing to install on the user's side: no Mac, no Xcode, no cable. It is waitlist-only for now: early access is free and runs on the iOS Simulator; a real iPhone for one customer comes next, and its price isn't set yet. ## What an agent can do with it thumbs is a remote MCP server at https://mcp.usethumbs.com/mcp. Through it an agent gets a screenshot of the phone and a numbered list of everything it can tap, with labels and positions, in 0.3 to 0.9 seconds. It can tap by number or by point, type, swipe, scroll, open apps and links, press the home button and answer system alerts. ## What you can use it for - Test your own app: walk sign-up and the main flows after every release, and get back what broke with the screen (needs your own iPhone). - Map other apps: walk an app's onboarding to its paywall screen by screen, declining every prompt and buying nothing (needs your own iPhone). - Use apps with no API: let the agent do a task in an app with your own account, the way you would (needs your own iPhone). - Check your web app: open your pages in Safari on iOS and see what a phone shows, such as the keyboard over a form (works in early access, on the iOS Simulator). ## Connecting - Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http thumbs https://mcp.usethumbs.com/mcp`, then `/mcp` to sign in with Google. - Claude app: add the same URL as a custom connector. - Any other MCP client that supports remote servers over HTTP with OAuth sign-in connects the same way. - Only accounts that have been let in from the waitlist can use a phone. ## Measured On an iPhone 17 Pro, 23 October 2026: a screenshot in about 63 ms; a full look at the screen in 0.3 to 0.9 s; a tap in 0.4 to 0.8 s depending on the app; 296 commands in twenty minutes with no failures. An agent walked a language app's 19-screen onboarding to its paywall in 3.2 minutes. ## Limits Banking and Apple Pay apps don't work (the phones have no passcode), nor does anything behind Face ID. The early-access simulator runs Safari and Apple's built-in apps, not App Store apps, and is shared between testers. ## Pages - [Home](https://www.usethumbs.com/): what thumbs is, what you can do with it, real runs, how it works, plans, questions and the waitlist - [Questions](https://www.usethumbs.com/#faq): when people get in, cost, agents, setup, limits and rules - [Privacy](https://www.usethumbs.com/privacy): what thumbs keeps about visitors and people on the waitlist - [Terms](https://www.usethumbs.com/terms): what early access is, what it doesn't promise, and how to use it - [Guides](https://www.usethumbs.com/guides/): practical guides on giving an agent an iPhone - [Test your web app on an iPhone with an AI agent](https://www.usethumbs.com/guides/test-ios-web-app-with-ai-agent): have Claude Code open your site in Safari on the iOS Simulator and report keyboard, zoom and layout problems - [How to give an AI agent an iPhone with MCP](https://www.usethumbs.com/guides/ai-agent-iphone-mcp): how it works, local versus remote MCP, Simulator versus real device, and connecting Claude Code - [iOS Simulator MCP: local or remote, and which to use](https://www.usethumbs.com/guides/ios-simulator-mcp): what an iOS Simulator MCP server does, local servers versus a remote one, connecting Claude Code or Cursor - [How to test an iOS app with Claude Code or Cursor](https://www.usethumbs.com/guides/test-ios-app-with-claude-code-cursor): a local Simulator setup for native apps, a no-install option for web apps in Safari, and what thumbs can't do yet - [Does the iOS keyboard cover your Submit button?
